Sub: Request for early release of payment of Perquisites to Ex-Executives of SAIL for the period 26.11.2008 to 04.10.2009 with 18% interest
Ref: FORSE letter No. FORSE/SAIL-C/2023 dated Sept 16, 2023 and FORSE/SAIL-C/0325 dated 04/02/2025
Sir,
With reference to the above this is to inform you that no favorable action appears to have been initiated for the payment of perquisites to Ex-Executives of SAIL for the period 26.11.2008 to 04.10.2009 as requested in the above referred letters. It is surprising to know that almost all Nodal officers in the SAIL plants/ units exhibit ignorance about the data in the SAIL portal and absence of guidelines from Corporate Office of how and whom to pay. This is causing unnecessary delay.
In view of the above, we request you to kindly issue necessary order to the Nodal officers of Plants/ Units, alongwith how to extract information about those eligible for payment of perks and to release payment for 11 (eleven) month's arrear to the eligible retired executives at the earliest.

Sub: Request to include the provision of payment of interest @ 18% alongwith 11 months perks arrears payment as per CAT Order confirmed by the Calcutta High court

This is to draw your kind attention to the issue of payment of interest @ 18% on the date of payment alongwith 11 months perks arrears payment. This is as par order of the CAT (copy attached with highlight of para 2(b) by us) confirmed by the Calcutta High court

11 months perks arrears payment from the link

Dear Sir,
This is to draw your kind attention to the problem faced by a large number of
SAIL Retirees who are eligible to get the 11 months perks arrears but for
various reasons, a good number of them find difficulty in locating their about 15
year old service certificate and uploading them. The reasons for not finding the
service certificate is reported as missing, non-traceable, the retiree presently
located away from his original place of residence etc. In addition, this
requirement also looks superfluous for the reason that Retirees have served for
over 30 years and his records should all be available with the SAIL units. Once
the retiree is giving his Personnel/ Employment No. all data can be traced and
checked.
In view of the above, we request you to kindly get the requirement of uploading
service certificate removed from the above link.
