Homage to Dr. Suresh Jha 'Ajit'

OBITUARY
  
Dr. Suresh Jha ‘Ajit’ (76) breathed his last this morning at 9.30 AM in his Patna residence where he had settled after his retirement from National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology, Ranchi as Director.  Dr. Jha was diagnosed for Brain tumour a few months ago and was losing memory at times. A  Professor of Metallurgical Engg. at NIT Jamshedpur (then RIT), Dr. Jha joined SAIL/ RDCIS as Research Manager in 1978 and headed the Steel making Group and Division for long years. He served SAIL in various capacities as General Manager, MTI, Ranchi and later on as GM (Safety) in SAIL Safety Organisation at Ranchi before taking over the Directorship of NIFFT, Ranchi. 

Post-Retirement, he joined SAIL Ex-Employees Association, Ranchi as a Life member and continued active interaction with the members on group mail and  phone. 

Well known for his continuous chewing of the betel which always added to his smile Dr. Suresh Jha ‘Ajit’, a well known name in the Steel Technology and a teacher with a look of Gurukul variety,  was a lively and ever smiling person who brought cheers to anybody who met him. He never lost temper and always gave regards to his all colleagues and individual acquaintance, howsoever,high or low in office or out of it.   

We, the members of SEEA and FORSE mourn his death and pray for peace to the departed soul and courage to his family members to bear the loss.
