Hon'ble Sir,
We are a Federation of Retired SAIL Employees (Regd)
representing over 1.25 lakh Retired Employees of SAIL located in big and small
towns and villages all over India. A good number of our members who are Sr and
Super Sr Citizens are also located in Kerala. We are informed of the
devastation caused, by the incessant rains and floods, and difficult times
faced by people there through our own members' owes in addition to the Media
including Social ones.
To extend a small hand to help the people of Kerala at this
trying time, we have started collecting funds and materials-individually and
collectively. A donation of Rs 50000/- has already been sent today to Chief
Ministers Distress Relief Fund through NEFT transfer.
In addition we have advised our members to donate generously to
help the rehabilitation of the suffering people of the State so that they get
back to a life of normalcy as soon as possible. We have also been reported that
a sizable number of our members from the nearby cities in Karnataka, Andhra,
Telengana and Tamil Nadu are collecting cloths, funds and food materials etc in
association with NGOs etc and helping their delivery at appropriate places.
With our assurance, Sir, that we shall continue to stand by the
people of Kerala at these difficult hours and help them in whatever way we can.
