ACTION PLAN as PROPOSED & APPROVED: During the discussion in the Apex Council Meeting at Bokaro on Sept
23-24, 2016 it was concluded that
the hopes of the SAIL Retirees, banking on the new SAIL Management, was totally
belied as SAIL did not show any interest in resolving the long pending issues
detailed above. In view of the financially distressed condition
of SAIL Retirees leading to a life in privation and the agony and with ignominy
they have to live with, the Apex Council chalked out a detailed 3rd phase
of Action plan due to lack of interest and initiative by SAIL to resolve the
standing issues to meet the SAIL Retirees expectations. In view of this it was decided to
implement the following Action Plan by all Units with all seriousness.
The 3rd Phase Action Plan
of FORSE has been finalised in sub-phases as follows: Each Unit will submit a
Report of the Action Plan conducted within 24 hours to FORSE
a) Oct-Nov,
2016: Aggressive
campaigning by all Member Associations with MPs/Floor leaders/ Ministers
on regular basis to communicate to and impress upon SAIL Chairman for granting defacto and dejure recognition
to FORSE and for holding regular meetings with them to help resolve the long
term pending issues of the Retirees.
b) Nov. 07-15, 2016: Each Unit to go for
canvassing and publicity of our demands and issues through Posters, Press,
Audio/Visual Media. Every Unit to hold a well-organized Press
Conference in the nearest Town on 15th Nov. 2016.
c) 9th January,
2017: Each
Unit to hold protest meetings on that day.
d) Feb 07-09,
2017 : 3-day
Dharna, Demonstration and Relay Hunger Strike in front of SAIL Corporate
Office, New Delhi.
