It is
extremely shocking to inform that our beloved member and great friend Sri
Dipak Brajabashi, representing IISCO in FORSE Apex Council as a Member
passed away this evening (04th July 2016) at 4 PM. He expired at
the age of 70 at his residence at Serampore 28 km from Kolkata on the bank of
the Ganges. He had been attending all the Apex council meetings without fail
even with a fragile health and body.
To add
further Com. Brajbasi was a great TU leader and a lone and tough fighter. He
was a bachelor. He died of lungs cancer, detected in May only when we forced
him for hospitalisation. He even attended Ramgarh meeting in April and looked
quite normal. Presumably he neglected his health.
It may be placed on
record that despite serious ailments he could organise sending Kolkata High Court papers to me at Ranchi for SRU case in Jharkhand HC
which was listed for hearing in June last week. It indicated his commitment
to the cause of the helping each other as an extreme example of Camaraderie.
The financial, medical
and moral help provided by Sri
S.K. Ghosh, the President and working committee
members of the Assn. of SAIL Calcutta Superannuated
Employees, Kolkata during last two months of Sri
Brajbasi’s illness also needs to be noted.
We all are
deeply grieved and mourn his death. May his Soul rest in peace.
