Dr.
V.N.Sharma, Chairman, FORSE participated in the AGM of Association of SAIL Calcutta
Superannuated Employees on 16th Jan 2016. It was attended by over
300 members.
It was followed by Dr. Sharma attending a special meeting of Sr. Citizens Welfare Committee at Durgapur 0n 17th Jan 2016 which consisted primarily of a large number of SAIL Retirees from both ASP & DSP alongwith a good number of Senior Citizens- non-SAIL PSU Retirees, entrepreneurs etc. located / settled at Durgapur.

The next was Dr. Sharma’s meeting with members of Bokaro Steel
Retired Employees Assn on 18th Jan 2016.

In all the three meetings the Retirees issues were primarily the same and similar which were
(i) Implementation of Pension Scheme for all employees on uniform basis irrespective of date of superannuation/ retirement
(ii) Formulation and Implementation of schemes SAIL retirees by SAIL (iii) Improvement in Healthcare incl. through SAIL Mediclaim Policy.
(iv) It was also desired that SAIL need to recognize FORSE and initiate discussion on Retirees' issues with them to resolve some of the serious issues on an urgent basis.
The meetings also desired fast action by concerned Ministers/ Ministries in bringing about policy changes in favour of Senior Citizens by implementing Govt. Policy for Senior Citizens and Pension Schemes and financial and other type of support for them.
Steel Minister Sri Narendra Singh Tomar and SAIL Chairman Sri P.K. Singh were both present in Bokaro on 18th Jan 2016. All our attempts failed to meet them because of their bust schedule.
