Dear Sir,

We would like to draw your kind attention to the non-implementation of the

Govt decision (copy enclosed) regarding payment of Gratuity to SAIL Executives wef 01.01.2017 wrt our letter to SAIL Chairman dated 31^st Jan 2022. The issue was once again discussed in the 15^th Apex Council meeting at Ranchi on April 09-10, 2025 in which members’ observation was that it was quite unfair on part of the SAIL Board of Directors to implement the same for SAIL Executives wef 29^th March 2018 when the Govt has ordered it from 01^st Jan 2017. We would like SAIL to make up the losses of concerned SAIL Executives by shifting the date of implementation by 15 months.

It was discussed and decided to remind SAIL of our request and repeat the same request to kindly revert back wef 01^st January 2017 instead of 29^th March 2018 as has been done to Executives in other PSUs like ONGC, IOC, NTPC, BHEL, GAIL etc and for Non-Executives in SAIL.
