By e-mail FORSE/SAIL-C/0723 April 04, 2023 To Ms Soma Mondal, Chairperson, Steel Authority of
  India Ltd, Ispat Bhavan, Lodhi
Road,  New Delhi – 110 003. Sub: Request
to grant de jure recognition to FORSE and hold
SAIL-FORSE meeting    Ref:  Our letter Nos. FORSE/SAIL-C/0123
  Republic Day, 2023, FORSE/SAIL-C/1122 dated May 22, 2022 and FORSE/SAIL-C/0122
  dated Jan 21, 2022 on
  the
subject (copies attached) Madam, This is to inform
you that the FORSE Apex Council met at Bhadravati on March 28-29, 2023 and while
referring to the SAIL Highlights took the opportunity to appreciate your
stewardship of SAIL especially in all round improvement in production,
profitability and HR management including in the quality of life of the
Retirees. This has been appreciated even by the Prime Minister. Madam, the FAC
meeting also admired some of your decisions taken during this period in
favour of retired employees of SAIL. However, we are sorry to say that our 3
communications (copies attached) to you with a request to
grant recognition to the Federation of Retired SAIL Employees
(FORSE) as early as possible- sooner the better- and hold SAIL-FORSE meetings
did not bear fruit. This is a burning
issue bothering the whole collective who desire to maintain a congenial
atmosphere by having SAIL-FORSE meetings at regular intervals. This is one
foremost single issue which may embitter and impact the scenario. Madam,
we request you once again to kindly grant recognition to FORSE and
call our Federation representatives for SAIL-FORSE meeting to reach a
meaningful understanding of the issues/ grievances in hand before you leave
SAIL in a few weeks’ time to take up higher responsibility as Member of the
PESB. If it is not done now, we will be left like orphans. Hoping
to hear from you at the earliest. Thanking
you immensely and with profound regards, Yours
  faithfully, For & on behalf
of Federation of Retired SAIL Employees
